ERIN COUPAL
Museum Registrar
Collections Management Specialist
Archives Nerd
I am enabled by degrees in art history and information studies, experience in the art collection of an archival repository, an objects conservation studio, a contemporary art museum, private collections, and my familiarity with the many aspects of artwork management and support. Though the iSchool, I have learned in-depth archival theory and practice, records and database management, and preservation tactics for both physical and born-digital materials. Coursework in copyright law, data visualization, and digitization augmented my professional experience in these areas.

Preserving the integrity of artists and artworks has been a constant inspiration in my professional and academic pursuits. My core strength in information management allows me to work in a focused manner at the intersection of contemporary art and archives in support of the creation and care of cultural heritage.
